For many generations, the Baharloo family have been
actively cultivating on family lands in the historical
region of Darab, in Fars province. Alireza Baharloo,
current president of KBD, has transformed this
traditional activity into a modern and diverse company,
specializing in fresh fruit production, grading,
distribution as well as marketing the products.
This agribusiness includes 700 hectares of olive
orchard, the biggest in Iran, (producing 30 different
varieties of olives). And for the first time in this
country, KBD has implemented super high-density olive
production system with Arbequina, Koroneiki and Arbosana
varieties.
The fresh fruit supplies are subjected to inspection
from the beginning to the end, integrating quality
management systems into all stages, to ensure the
freshest and healthiest quality possible.
KBD is also grower of grains, potatoes, corn, cotton,
watermelon.
KBD mainly serves the local Iranian market with emphasis
on Citrus fruit, olives and olive oil.
Our cold storage/warehouses are ideally located in Darab
(one of Iran's major fruit and vegetable centers) in the
heart of citrus groves of southern Iran, famous for its
best quality of citrus fruits. Geographically it is
situated between Bandar Abbas (port) on Persian Gulf and
Shiraz.
